The Doll Palace Hair System/ Hair Integration System is a permanent hair replacement system that is worn every day. The integrated system is NOT A WIG. The system is continuously worn and needs regular maintenance to keep it secure on the head. With the use of no glue or tape* this convenient and revolutional form of hair replacement is the preferred choice for many women. Your system will be bespoke made and your hair will be integrated through a fine mesh. Once your hair is secured donor hair is intricately added to the mesh and integrated with your own hair. A natural looking parting is created to give the illusion of a scalp effect. The system can then be glueless if the client wishes or special tape tabs added to cover areas of loss.  All hair systems will be colour matched to your hair and cut and styled into your preferred style. It is recommended by us that you choose a colour similar to your natural hair colour for the perfect blend but different colours can be chosen for clients willing to attend more maintenance appointments (3 weekly: see information below) You can do virtually everything whilst wearing the system! This includes swimming and going to the gym. The breathable mesh that forms the base of the system allows your scalp to breath and makes washing easy, and styling. The Doll Palace Hair Integration System can be worn continually with maintenance appointments. Dependant upon speed of hair growth, refits should be scheduled every 3-6 weeks. Every 3 weeks where a totally different colour system to the natural hair has been chosen or every 6 weeks for a blended system with the natural hair. During your maintenance appointment the whole system will be removed, your natural hair will be combed out and your hair will be washed and blow dried ready for the system to be re-fitted using a new mesh. *Tape adhesive may be needed if you have no hairline.

CONSULTATION: We are based in a private hair loss clinic and offer free no obligation private consultations. During the consultation we will discuss the look you would like to achieve and examine your hair colour, texture and length to decide which application method would best suit your natural hair. The consultation will take approximately 10-15 minutes and if you wish to proceed with your hair fitting appointment, we will go through costs, terms and conditions and after care advice. A £40 deposit will be taken to secure your appointment in the diary which is non refundable if you cancel but we will be more than willing to re-arrange your appointment for you. Please take into consideration a system will need to be maintained regularly before going ahead. Every 3 weeks if choosing a system a different colour to your natural hair (i.e natural hair black, system blonde) or maintenace is only required every 6 weeks if you choose a colour similar to your natural hair. Please advise us during consultation if you would like branded hair extensions. Prices for each  length and type are offered on our price list.  

 

CONSIDERATION BEFORE HAVING HAIR EXTENSIONS/A HAIR LOSS SYSTEM: Silver shampoo, toners, bleach and general colouring of wigs/systems/extensions VOIDS your warranty at every hair extension company throughout the UK and is used at client’s own risk. A patch test is recommended if clients wish to use products to alter the colour of their wigs/systems/extensions to test the strength of the dye. We offer exact colour matches and all shades so hair extensions should not need to be coloured unless the client wishes to do so. Wigs/Pieces/partings/extensions should only be coloured by a professional hairdresser and a test should be performed prior to a full colour. It is not recommended to root partings with supermarket/home colours however we are aware that clients do choose to do so at their own risk. Clients choosing to root wigs/pieces/partings/extensions themselves should take the advice to leave supermarket/home colours on for no longer than 1-2 minutes. Heat appliances hotter than 180 degrees cannot be used on the hair. Upon fitting of hair systems/wigs/pieces or hair extensions you may find them itchy; nothing can be done about this. A special hair extension brush can be purchased along with salon professional sulphate free washing products and oil which you will NEED to keep your hair at its best. Hair will need to be brushed very gently at least three times a day. Hair will need plaiting or putting into a loose ponytail before sleeping. Extra care will be required on holidays. Please ask your technician for advice. Specific ash or rooted shades will require colour maintenance throughout the lifespan of the extensions/system/wig the exact same as your natural hair would require with ash or rooted shades. Maintenance appointments will need to be attended every 3-6 weeks for hair loss systems or 6-12 weeks for hair extensions. Hair extensions and wigs do shed but we try to use hair that sheds the least including branded extensions. A patch test is offered should you be concerned about an allergic reaction. Please take into consideration all of the above points before having your hair fit. 

 

PREPARATION: Preperation of your hair before having hair extensions fitted is extremely important. Please colour your hair up to 7 days before the application and wash your hair thoroughly on the morning of your fitting using a clarifying shampoo and no conditioner to ensure no excess oils or product build-up in your natural hair. Straighten from mid length to the ends avoiding the root section.

DIFFERENT COLOUR SYSTEM TO NATURAL HAIR: Hair systems allow you to change your colour overnight! You can go from black to blonde within one appointment! However, we highly recommend keeping your system the same colour as your natural hair to avoid regular maintenance appointments. A different colour system to your natural hair will require maintenance every 3 weeks whereas a system similarly coloured to your natural hair requires maintenance every 3-6 weeks with some ladies even going 8-12 weeks as the blend with their natural hair is so perfect! If you choose an entirely different colour you will still be offered the same colour as your natural hair on the day of your fitting to make sure you are certain. We can swap and change orders where necessary and would always advise on natural colours first :0)

WASHING: You should not wash your hair for 2-3 days after having the extensions fitted to allow the bonds to set properly. Hair systems should be washed 1-2 times a week. Smooth the shampoo down the hair avoiding rubbing as this will cause the hair to tangle. Condition from mid length to the ends avoiding getting conditioner on the bonds as this can cause the bonds to slip specifically in finer hair. Please DO NOT tip the hair over the bath to wash as this willcause discomfort. Squeeze and pat gently to remove excess water. Detangle the hair with a hair extension brush on a regular basis. It is essential that you only use the recommended hair extension shampoo and conditioner to protect the hair and avoid dryness and tangling. Silver shampoo is not recommended in any case and will void any warranty on your hair extensions. Silver shampoo is used at clients on risk. The hair extension technician can order your hair a few shades lighter so you can avoid using silver shampoo. Dry shampoo is not recommended.

 

DRYING: Never allow your hair extensions or hair loss sytem to dry naturally. You can use a hair extension conditioning spray or argan oil whilst damp. Dry you hair on a cool setting. Section your hair and blowdry using a hair extension brush or round vented brush. Always use a heat protection spray.

 

BRUSHING: Always brush your hair gently holding the top of your hair to avoid any stress on the natural hair. Use an extension brush with soft bristles. Your technician can also demonstrate how to brush with a paddle brush and also how to re-part your parting which is important when wearing a full hair loss system

 

SLEEPING: Never go to sleep with wet hair and wear hair in a loose ponytail or side plait when sleeping

MAINTENANCE: Maintenance is very important to ensure natural regrowth and we offer an extensive aftercare service. A telephone number is available to you for any questions or queries. Aftercare will be re-visited at every appointment to make sure you are not struggling. Hair care products can be purchased on the day if you wish to do so and aftercare is available on the website and via email/message attachment if you wish. Please request aftercare information if you feel you are struggling. The length of time between maintenance appointments will depend on the application method. but usually every 3 weeks or every 6 weeks on a hair loss sytem dependant upon the colour match to your natural hair i.e a blonde system would require more regular maintenaces every 3 weeks if jet black natural roots were growing out underneath. A 'free' appointment is offered through the booking system at 1 week after having your system to fit to ensure you are happy with the regrowth, positioning of the system, or to allow you to change your style i.e. cut some length off, add a fringe or layering. Please make sure you book this appointment even if you think you do not require it as we are here to help! Everyones natural hair grows differently at the re-growth stage so at one week we can see if any adjustments need to be made, if any connections need to be added or if your system needs adjusting to allow for your own personal re-growth. Maintenance appointments are extremely important to re-secure your hair, stop any matting/tangling of your natural hair and keep your system looking its best. The length of time before your maintenance appointment will depend on the treatment you have. Please book your maintenance appointment in advance through get timely to secure your maintenance appointment in the diary. A deposit is taken which is non refundable if you cancel but we will be more than willing to re-arrange your appointment for you.

REMOVAL: Removal should be carried out by a professional within the correct time frame to prevent damage to the natural hair. All application methods used in our salon help your natural hair to grow and cause zero damage when maintained and removed correctly. Removal appointments can range from 20-60 minutes. You cannot remove a hair loss/hair integration sytem yourself! If you remove a system yourself you will be left with what looks like a large "hat" of tight matting! This needs to be removed by a professional and can take minutes rather than hours by somebody who is not qualified! Handfuls of hair will be combed out (150-180 naturally shedded hairs per day) which will come as a shock to a untrained professional who does not realise how much hair is shedded naturally per day. Special solution may be required to remove excess matting if you have not attended your maintenance appointments every 3-6 weeks. DO NOT attempt to remove a hair integration system yourself! You will damage both the system and your natural hair; removal should be left to trained hair loss technicians only!!! If you need to remove your system in hospital we will attend the hospital :0) During removal 150-180 naturally hairs will be removed from your natural hair. Every day your natural hair shed between 150-180 hairs per day which will all be caught up within the system. This is why it creates a little "hat" underneath. Your hair loss specialist will remove this hair and you will be left with brand new hair growth! A removal guide is available and can be sent in worst case scenarios. This were published during lockdown with no problems.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please use the correct hair products. Do not subject your hair to excess heat. The scalp will feel tender for a few days after having hair extensions or a hair loss sytem but you are free to contact us with any questions. A whatsapp group has been set up which you can contact AT ANY TIME. It is normal for a few rings to slip and slide out upon being fit but these will be put back in free of charge if needed. Please wash your hair regularly if you have an oily scalp to prevent a build up of natural oils and the bonds from slipping. We advise you book the free one week check up then a 4 week check up appointment to check your new system. If maintenance appointments are not regularly attended at 3 weeks or 6 weeks for systems (dependant upon colour chosen) and 6-8 weeks for hair extensions and aftercare is not followed we cannot be held responsible for any damage done to your own hair or the extensions. In particular a wig/system will get damaged if it is hanging a few cm/inches away from your head after weeks of not having a refit. Please have a 1-2 week break after wearing hair extensions/wigs/systems for a few month to give your scalp a break. The system can be a glueless system or can be taped down where required if hair is missing using special hair glue tape tabs.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE: Any complaints will be dealt with swiftly. Please return to the salon in the first instance for the hair to be washed to remove any product build up. The hair will then be assessed and replaced or refunded if found to be defective by the hair extension supplier. Hair WILL NOT be refunded unless it is found to be faulty by the hair extension supplier. Ladies choosing to glue, root (add a root using hair dye) or add products to the root area immediately voids your warranty with the supplier as this can cause the hand tied knots to loosen. The Doll Palace does not refund the hair until the hair is found to be at fault. At no time will hair be refunded if it is found to have been experimented with. A full report will be provided to you directly from the hair extension supplier once the hair has been through various testing. Silver shampoo, bleach, toners, colouring or excess heat over 180 degrees is not recommended in any case and will void any warranty on your hair extensions at every single hair extension company throughout the UK. Hair that is coloured, bleached or washed with silver shampoo will not be refunded in any case as the product can dissolve the glue bonds or cause severe shedding. Products that alter the colour of clients hair extensions are used at client’s own risk and a patch test is advised if clients wish to do so to test the strength of the dye. Each hair extension company have their own procedure for returning the hair which must be followed. Please make yourself aware of this procedure as all of the hair will be required to be removed if a problem occurs leaving a short break between wearing extensions.
